Early 1900’s Duesenberg Race Car
in Antique White

Car - 33" x 9" x 5"
Mounted - 39.5" x 16.5" x 5"
I originally saw this car displayed at the New England Racing Museum in New Hampshire several years ago. I was immediately attracted to the simplistic but elegant lines of the coachwork coupled with the bold overstated wheels and tires. This car created many design challenges for me, including the desire to create the wheels with true spokes. Each of the 96 spokes are hand cut using a jewelers plate
The maple mounting board is finished with individual oak strips which pay homage to the high bank board tracks that these early racers would navigate.
